Heather Hayes, M.ED., LPC, CIP, CAI

Heather Hayes holds a Masters of Education (M.ED) from Antioch University, is a Licensed Counselor, and Board Registered Interventionist (CIP) and a Certified ARISE® Interventionist. Heather uses her 30+ years of experience to help adolescents/young adults and individuals suffering from trauma, complex mental health issues, and addictive disorders across the spectrum.

Dr. Louise Stanger Ed.D, LCSW, CDWF CIP, CILC

Senior Faculty

Dr. Louise Stanger LCSW, CDWF, CIP, CILC is a preeminent interventionist, family clinician /coach and thought leader in the behavioral health (mental health and addition) industry. She serves as Director of Family Services for YPM a global initiative to help mitigate risk as well as she serves as a clinician Interventionist for The Balance -Mallorca, Zurich London and is Senior Faculty for Dr. Judith Landaus’ Arise Methods of Intervention. Dr. Louise describes herself as endlessly curious, a mother, grandmother, a former widow, a wife, soul cycler<br /> pickleballer and an adventurer. She received a BA in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, her master’s I n social work from San Diego State College and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego. She has received academic distinction for the work she did with the widows of 9-11 and . She is well known for her work with the trauma ofsudden death.<br /> Additionally she was the principal investigaror over 5 million dollar ground breaking grants (NIH- NIAA) with college age students and parent based interventions . The results of which were duplicated at universities nationwide. . The grants serve the evidence based groupwork for peer mentoring groups today and parent-based interventions, Along the way, Dr. Louise has received many distinguished awards for her work .She has performed thousands of family interventions in the US and abroad, given presentations around the country on various topics related to failure to launch, mental health , trauma and addiction, process disorders , chronic pain, grief and loss and families .She has received prestigious awards from her fellow industry colleagues for her dedication to best practices Harvard McLean Hospital an affiliate of Harvard University and DB Resources from London honored her as Interventionists of the year . Other awards include Friendly House LA Awardee for Clinical Service, Hemet Valley and Sage Recovery Outstanding Professional Award, Forgiving For Living, Service Award , this NCADD Mary Mann Awarda nd the , NY, Legacy Award 2023 Inservice Foundation ( Silverbell Consulting )and in 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award for Clinical Excellence from Miriam’s House LA Dr. Louise was also faculty at San Diego State University and University of San Diego, where she brought in over five million dollars in outside funding to create programming and curriculum in alcohol and other drugs. Amongst them was a Parent Based Intervention to reduce High Risk Problematic Drinking. She also spearheaded a collborative with private schools (“Parent Cares’) designed to reduce high risk problematic behaviors for teens Dr. Louise developed the first university based student mentoring program, “Student to Student”. This program became a leader in the collegiate world and has gone one to be replicated at universities across the country.) Dr. Louise loves to work with families creating change. She is a prolific writer with over 500 blog posts and magazine and newspaper articles Her work is featured in Forbes, USA Today, Medium, Women’s Journal, LA Weekly ,Valient CEO , CEO Today , Addiction Bulletin and many others Dr. Louise is the author of three books. Falling Up: A Memoir of Renewal, in which Dr. Stanger recounts her travails growing up on a fault line of trauma up in a family beset with mental health and substance abuse forging her unique career path,. The Definitive Guide to Addiction Interventions: A Collective Strategy, is the first academic book in the U.S. about the intervention process and is used in universities. Here she is lauded for developing the invitational intervention process, which uses CIS: Collective Intervention Strategies, a revolutionary way of working with professionals and support systems to invite change. Her latest book. Addiction In the Family: Helping Families Navigate Challenges, Emotions and Recovery and has been # 1 on amazon And her new book Reflections on Aging is in the works Today she continues to be a prolific writer and speaker.
